Today we released a huge update for language support in AltText.Ai. We've always supported over 130 languages out of the box, but we've added native support for multiple alt text languages per image.

Now, when you generate alt text for your images, you can create as many languages as you like in a single pass—our lightning-fast generation applies to each one.

Additionally, we recently upgraded our language providers to bring you a few key improvements:

• Significantly higher-quality translations for over 35 of our most-used languages.
• Added regional language support, such as British English, Brazilian Portuguese, and improved coverage for multiple Chinese dialects.

Anywhere you add alt text, you’ll now see our multi-language picker—simply search for the language you need.

Translating an existing library

Already have a library of images and just need to add another language? No problem—we’ve got you.

Translate Library

We’ve added a handy “Translate Library” button to your dashboard. It lets you add translations for any number of languages to your entire library in one go.

API

Simply provide a comma-separated list of language codes and we'll process them all. Pass overwrite: false with an existing image plus a new language and we’ll just add that language—think of it like “filling in the blanks.” See more in our API here.
